Mosport Racing Motorcycle Boot

$169.95
SLIPPING INTO PROTECTION
Have you ever thought that you might want a set of racing boots for a trackday or maybe just for a bit more protection on the street? Then you start looking at prices of said boots only to find that you are not prepared to spend $500 or $600 on a set.
Altimate may just have the answer for you. This Canadian company based in Toronto has built up quite a name in the world of snowmobile boots and is steadily doing the same for motorcycles too. Enter the Mosport boot.
This entry-level racing boot features full leather construction with water-proof treatment on all the seams, full gaitor and side zipper entry. For protection and comfort the Mosport features a padded ankle area, flexible side panels, reinforced gear shift area and much more.
The construction of the Mosport seems to be of good quality and after a few months of daily use they show no sign of defect or unusal wear. The fasteners ( zipper, velcro ) have held up well over the course of usage and do not seem to be loosing their effectiveness.
If comfort is a priority for you, these boots should not disappoint; they feel as if they are broken in the first time you put them on. One thing of note though, if your foot is on the large size, or less flexible, the Mosport can be a bit tight while slipping in your foot. This is not a major concern though and is a moot point once your foot is in place.
All in all this is a good entry-level boot and for $179.95 it gives you a good starting point to see if you want to spend the big bucks on a high level racing boot in the future. But with the Mosport you may not need to anytime soon.
